Today is the day the world gets to meet Javier and Ophelia and the hot and heavy story they had me write about them.
BloodLily has flown the nest and is now available to order wherever books are sold (including all of your favorite indie book shops—just give them the name and they shall do the rest). I will caution one last time that this book is leagues different to my previous works. It is a graphically spicy and rather bloody vampire romance. Or take it from some early readers and what they have to say.
“Sharp, seductive, and extra bloody, Blood Lily quenches the thirst of any vampire fan. Jessika Grewe Glover has once again painted a decadent dark romance that will keep you enthralled until the last drop.”
- Cassandra L. Thompson, author of The Dark Queen’s Apothecary
BloodLily is everything I want from a vampire romance. It’s addictive, blood-soaked, and sexy as hell…BloodLily delivers the most unhinged (complimentary), bloody, and deeply romantic sex scenes I’ve had the pleasure of reading. I couldn’t put it down. A story of obsession, love, heartbreak, wild lust, and insatiable hunger, BloodLily should be at the top of your TBR.
-Meg Smitherman, author of THRUM and SWALLOWED
Dark, sexy, romantic, gruesome, and with razor sharp wit, Bloodlily is a feast for the senses. An all-consuming foray into both horror and romance. An examination of humanity and all its darkest corners. I was utterly addicted to this story.
-C.A. Farran, author of A Dreamer’s Misfortune Series and Ballad of the Last Dragon
This is my fifth published book, but my seventh book release. If you’ve been on this ultramarathon with me for some time, you may remember that I was once signed with a publisher, and though my release for the original version of Another Beast’s Skin and A Braiding of Darkness were…let’s be honest…a shit show…I re-released those lovelies and they have been thriving on shelves ever since. That said, as this is my 5th book and 7th release day, it doesn’t get much easier. The nerves still eat me alive. The Lego Batman level “NONONONONO” I feel when I have to go onto social media and see who is grabbing copies, reading, loving, hopefully not tagging me in their hating, this is all consistent.
I’ve branched out with this book, and I’m excited about it. It has already found a home in many hearts and for that I’m grateful. There is no certainty in these times. No way of knowing what will be hiding around the next corner, but we have books. Our particular escapes. Whether that’s a biography of some long ago hero, or a fantasy realm where magic reigns, a thriller where the ghost gets the girl(Wait. What?), or a really explicit vampire romance with a sweet happily ever after. These are where we find ourselves in times of uncertainty. I hope that if BloodLily appeals to you, you will give her a chance, and if she doesn’t, then that’s okay too! But you know, one thing that always sparks a conversation is “What are you reading?” And if perhaps you want to drop any of my five books’ names in one of those conversations, I would be honored After all, I am just an author. Standing in front of readers. Seeing if they might give me a chance. After the multiple potato insertion from a few stacks ago, I couldn’t leave you without an ultra cheesy film reference.
If you are in the Southern California area the next few months I have quite the schedule. This Saturday, April 19th from 2pm, Barnes and Noble Valencia is hosting my release event. Then on Sunday, May 4th, Smitten Bookstore in Ventura, CA is having me in for a BloodLily signing from 11-1. I’d love to see you out and about. Come hang. I also made some pretty cool stickers. For more info on my events, follow this Substack.
As always, thanks for reading and if you read and love BloodLily or any of my books, I would be much obliged if you left a review.
Also, I do have a BloodLily playlist on my Spotify, but really, the album Aftercare Deluxe, by Nessa Barrett is pretty much all you need as a BloodLily playlist, so have a listen here .
